Why wont my moniter turn on?

My E machine Moniter ( e19t5w) wont turn on...The light just blinks...Why?

• The computer is about a year old, and one day I left for a few hours, came home, and The monitor light was blinking blue, turning it on and off, but it would go on for like 2 seconds, and shut right back off...I left it alone because I got fed up with it for about a month or 2, and It is still doing it...I can plug my computer into the other Monitor I have for my other computer and it works fine, so the computer does not seem to be the problem...Any ideas as to why it does this? and like I said, there was NEVER a problem prior to this...So it is not like the computer has taken a beating or anything....

  Have you tried the obvious? Uninstalling the drivers then reinstalling them? Have you tried plugging the monitor with the problem into the other computer? It's also not entirely impossible that the monitor itself went kerploohey! I have an emachines with the factory monitor, it too is about a year old, but I have never seen this behavior. Have you tried a different VGA cable? Just throwing out some ideas here. I hope you get it worked out!
