How do I connect my Laptop and my CRT monitor to use both monitors in monitor sharing?
-
I have a CRT and my laptop. I have power cable for the CRT and I have connected the VDU from the CRT to the VDU on my laptop. How do I connect my laptop's feed so I can make screen sharing options where I can view part of my work on my laptop and view the next part of my work on my CRT? I'm trying but nothing comes up. The CRT just dims and comes back up. I have tried Fn F5 and the screen on my CRT just dims but my work is not shown on both screens. If I restart with my CRT connected to my laptop, display only comes up on my CRT and my laptop is blank. Thanks for your help.

Answer:
I'll assume you're using windows. Go to display properties and there should be a tab for monitors. This will have the option to discover Identify new monitors, and turn on dual monitor support, assuming your video card allows this.
