  • Okay, so the monitor to the computer has broken. I don't have any other monitors I can use, but i have a laptop I know this sounds stupid, but is there anyway to connect my computer to my laptop screen? Or take out the memory to my computer? Im really not good with computers, i just really need my files asap!! Tahankk u so much!

  • Answer:

    1) go buy a monitor and return it afterward (just complain the screen is blurry and u dont know how to do blah blah blah) 2) theres USB-SATA converter u can buy (i assume ur HDD is sata). u can plug that into ur laptop the plugs r different. it doesnt seem to be possible to connect to ur desktop to ur laptop monitor (3rd party apps might be but i'm not sure)

Make sure it was turned on and logged in, and use a ethernet cable from another computer to that computer and move the files you want. If you do not have an ethernet port on the computer and you had Windows 7, you can use the Homegroup sharing thing to copy files in your Libraries. Macs can also do that as long you turn on sharing, not sure about Linux because it has many different versions.

You can access them over the network. I'd provide more instructions, but I do not know what operating systems you are running on both your desktop and your laptop.
