Help with laptop problems, please?

Laptop freezing problems help me please?

• Please help I have had problems with my laptop freezing before but not like this I was on the Internet (youtube) and my computer just suddenly froze and made a beep sound then I had to shut hold down the power Button to turn it off but now i have turned it on again I load my user profile as normal but none of the things that normally happen on start up appear for example normally msn pops up and google end user lisence agreement which I was to lazy to remove shows up and so does my rocket dock but now it dosnt so I click on firefox and my laptop just freezes so i restart and it happen again so i try again clicking on start but it freezes yet again so I start in safemode with networking and start typing this message to you Please help

  The two reasons I can think of why your computer would freeze would be because you either have a virus or you've maximized your RAM. Try doing a virus scan in safe-mode. If it is a virus, do a few scans and if it doesn't work, try a System Restore. If it is a RAM problem, it could be because you're running too many programs at once and you're just low on memory. Have you tried de-fragmenting your hard drive, clearing up your desktop, removing extraneous programs, etc.?
