How Do I Use my microphone with msn plus?

Microphone stopped working all of a sudden help!?

• ok so. ive asked this question so many times and i get nothing. sooo my internal microphone is not working. ive tried EVERYTHING and by that i mean going to the control panel...checking for the volume raising it up...also uninstalling the realtek and going to the acer website and downloading a new driver and i still got nothing. the thing is that the microphone (which is in the speakers) was working fine in the summer. i would talk to my family through the msn videocalling thingy. so they could hear my voice and all. i would also record videos on nero or on facebook and it worked great. NOW! im trying to record videos and talk to people on msn and i cant! because i wont hear anything! my voice is not audible.....and according to my lap top and the hardware and sound settings the microphone is working perfectly well and it doesnt need any updates. i dont know what it could be and im very very very desperate becuase i want to use it! and i dont know what wrong..so if someone can please help me...please...ive already googled so many times and well i dont know where to take it...so if you know show me what i can do or if you know somethings wrong id really appreciate it if you could help me THANKS in advance :)

  From what you have said about trying everything, the only alternative I can think of is that the microphone itself or its wiring to the motherboard has gone bad. Try buying a microphone and plugging it in to the audio input jack.
