Can't change computer name on MacBook!!!?
-
I'm buying a MacBook from my friend, and I've already changed the display name and the name in System Preferences, but the computer name itself is STILL the previous owner... I tried to just find a simple tech support on the apple website, but it's so freaking complicated--I can't even get a simple chat open unless I'm asking about MyMobile or some other crap. Anyway, does anyone know how I can change the name of this computer?

Answer:
Look in System Preferences>Accounts Click the + sign and set up an account for yourself and set the New Account type to Administrator. You should get rid of the other guy after you set yours up. I don't know if you can before you are set up as the Admin.
