Why my computer can't load Wikipedia?

My computer freezes and i cant turn it on and it doesnt load?

  • So my computer is a toshiba laptop and anyway it starts up as usual with the toshiba picture thingy then i press resume windows (iv tried safe mode and everything) because iv shut it down by holding the button because i cant shut it off because i cant press the start button anyway then it says windows is resuming and it has those green lights that go across the bar and then my screen goes black but not turned off black and then the mouse comes up and i can move the mouse but the computer doesnt load so yeah iv tried waiting it out for half an hour but then i just hold the shut down button and try again how do i fix my computer?!

    that happens to me lots of times and i manage to fix it. i dont actually fix it. once i let my step dad fix it (he's a computer genius), and he managed to do it. next time it happened again... all i did was not turn on my laptop for 1 week, and after that i opened it and everything was alright. my laptop was compaq though,

ONE: ensure befre you boot up again that you do have any CDS, SD cards etc in any of the external drives - this happened to me once - I had just had a white cursor and I had in my DS Card the day before, when I removed it, windows started correctly If this isnt the case TWO: Hold down and press F10 on start up to reinitialize windows F8 on some systems, pressing the wrong command key will not hrt, it will just bleep and do nothing.

Try the old quick fix , unplug the laptop, take out the battery, swap the ram around ,reset the hdd, put back in the battery and hook back up the power cord, restart
