Blank screen on Laptop?

ASUS Laptop Blank Screen?

  • Okay so I am really freaking out here. I have a paper due tomorrow and while I am working on it my laptop suddenly froze. I thought at first that maybe some programs are just not responding. I was running 3 Microsoft Words, 2 Google Chrome, and 1 paint file during that time. After my laptop froze, a blue screen popped up saying that there might have been problems with something and laptop needs to boot (or something like that, I don't really remember: currently freaking out). Then the screen just went blank. I tried holding the power button for it to power off and then pressed the power button again for it to start. I got pass the ASUS logo but then afterwards the screen just went blank even if i wait for around 10 mins. I also tried pressing F8 to select Safe Mode but once i pressed enter it said "please wait loading files" but nothing really is happening. Iw aited for around 10 mins and just forced power off my laptop Please help me. I have ans ASUS F6A laptop. All help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

  • Answer:

A blue screen comes up to tell you that there is something wrong with the hardware. You might have a virus but I'd expect it is the hardware. Try doing a hardware diagnosis (if your computer has one - it will be an option when it shows the ASUS logo - look in the manual). Try getting in contact with them or take it to a repair shop. If you have recently changed the hardware (upgraded the RAM or something) then change back and see if that helps. The blue screen will also have a code on (if you can get it again - you have to be very quick to write it down). You could then type it into the internet which might give you the reason for the message and narrow down the problem.

TAKE OUT THE BATTERY CLEAN IT , CLEAN THE DUST AROUND IT CLEAN THE LAPTOP AND TRY

Did either of you read the fact that his paper is due TOMORROW?? 2nd guy, its not the battery, otherwise it wouldn't even turn on. It could be RAM failure, hard drive failure, or the OS could be corrupted. Take it to a computer repair shop. Sorry but its unlikely that it will be fixed by tomorrow.
