Why can i not connect my laptop to internet but my desktop works fine?
-
I have a Arris modem for for my cable connection. I have a Netgear router connected to the modem. Currently, I'm typing this message from my MacPro (Snow leopard) which is wired through the netgear router. However, I can't seem to get a connection with my Dell laptop (XP). I've tried the usual restarting the modem and then doing the ipconfig/release, renew, flushdns thing, but i still get limited or no connectivity. I know this router works because we had it set up at my office with 4 computers and they all got internet with no problem. The laptop was one of those computers. Why can i not connect with the laptop now?
