What do I need to set my laptop as a TV?

Connet laptop to tv vga cable?

  • My TV is a samsung le32s8. my laptop is an acer aspire 5733. i have purhased a vga cable and ave set up my laptop to the correct resolution and to clone its image to the tv. baasically the laptop is ready to go. the problem is i need to change my tv input to PC on the menu. however on my source list the 'pc' option is there but blacked out and cant be selected What shall i do????

    If you can not select the TV on your vga software it means the tv was not detected by your card, when it'll be detected it will show up on the interface. Probably should check the cables and then the tv input (scart or dvi etc)

change your resolution on your computer or make sure you have connected it up properly, im pretty sure if you press the FN key and there should be a picture of a monitor on the F1 F2 F3 F4 F5 row. Press FN + the other key, that should connect it.
