How can I download free movies for a Macbook?

Should I get a Macbook Pro? Will it do me good for my needs?

  • Alright, I have been a PC user all my life because my parents would never ever buy me a Macbook, but now I am in college, I can start finding money on my own. The problem is however, should I spend it on a Macbook Pro? Will the Macbook do me good in any way? I am a Physics/Math Major who is taking some computer programming courses as part of my major (might eventually end up with a minor) Here are some things that I do on my computer - Watch stuff like cartoons lol, or movies, mostly Anime... - The most 'hardcore' game that I play which is nearly like once every 3 months is RuneScape, yeah go ahead, laugh at me... - Since I watch movies on my computer, I obviously download stuff, a lot of stuff lol. I might use rapidshare or other file sharing services other than Torrent if I switch to a mac. - I plan to use programs like Mathematica or Eclipse for programming My main question is, is it worth spending all my $$ on a Mac? Is even worth the extra for a MacBook Pro? The specs for a normal mac aren't that great... Also, I notice that the mouse for a Mac is REALLY difficult to use, are all mice compatible (mice or mouse..?) with a Mac? do you think they will release something better in the next 10 years and all my $$$ will go to waste?

  • Answer:

Well, to make a mac, they hollow out a PC, pain it white, and add a few hundred dollars onto the price tag. Really, don't go Mac.

Think of a Mac purchase as an investment, an investment that will last you for years to come. Why buy a trailer when you can own a house? I'd personally go with a Macbook Pro simply because it's more powerful than the MacBook and uses better hardware. You'll really appreciate the Pro when running resource-intensive applications like Mathematica or playing 3D games. The Magic Mouse in my opinion, is the most useless product Apple has released to date. Luckily, for those of us that like pressing real buttons, any USB mouse works with a Mac - I use one form Logitech. Of cause something better will be released in the next 10 years. In fact, Apple (and most consumer electronics companies) release a new product every year, that's just the way technology works and how corporations stay in business, but you shouldn't think of it as wasting your money. If a product you bought a decade ago worked flawlessly for years, it's money well spent. I bought my first Mac notebook about 6 years ago and although I've upgraded to a faster machine since, it still works perfectly well today.

Personally, I wouldn't buy a Mac. They are over-priced, and yes they come out with new versions constantly so you have to keep buying the new ones to keep up with the technology. Check out this really cool site: cyberpowerpc.com Don't worry it's not full of virus's, and you can completely customize your computer. They also have life chat / phone support if you're not sure what works. It's pretty cool. Also check out Amazon.com, Tigerdirect.com, newegg.com They have specials every once in a while on some computers that are really quite nice. Macs are cool, but they are very expensive and cost more to repair/replace. In the long run, not worth it. happy hunting :)

idk, but 50 runecrafting would get you alot of money http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5I6DuWMdq%E2%80%A6
