Good RTS games for my laptop?

Which laptop is better and why?

  • Hi I have the option of purchasing the following laptops, but not sure which to go for, what do you think and why please? For basic work, internet and gaming such as RTS games (age of empires, starcraft etc), is this laptop any good? CPU: intel i5 2540M (2.6 - 3.3) Ram: 6 GB Graphics: 1 GB Nvidia GT525M Hard Drive : 750 GB 7,200 rpm or CPU: intel i7 2630QM (2.0 - 2.9) (seems slower than the one above) Ram: 8 GB Graphics: 2 GB Nvidia GT540M Hard Drive : 500 GB 7,200 rpm Thank you

    you will need the computer with the biggest ram and graphics card for it to be capable to hold such games and for it to work for you. Best of luck

For the same price, the second option is way better. The graphics and ram are both obviously superior, and the CPU is also better. Don't be fooled by the lower clocks! The i7 supports hyper- threading, which basically means that it will have virtually 8 cores compared to the i5's 4, making it much faster. The 250 gb of hard drive wont be missed ad 500 is more than enough for basic work and a few games. I don't know where you come from, so I'm thinking Aussie dollars here :P the 1st one should cost about 900 if you're lucky, and the 2nd should set you back close to 1300 bucks.
