Change name of my macbook?

the ownership of my apple id is like my moms name but she does not use it and when i got my macbook it asked for my apple id and i typed in my username/password and when it was done it said mary's (my moms name) macbook. i want it to say my name and my username is sammyg. why doesnt it just say that? and how can i change it?

Answer:
Go to settings and then to account settings. Go to your(mom's) account and change the user name to yours. Just click the lock to save the changes.
