Why doesn't my laptop let me open any programs?

Laptop doesnt want to turn on after i let battery die?

  • my laptop has been displaying a message that my battery needs to be replaced but ive been ignoring it b/c it still worked as long as the charger was plugged in.... last nite i closed the laptop without shutting down and this morning i just unplugged cable without shutting down. The processing and battery lights were blinking majority of the day. When i finally sat down to use it, the processing and battery lights were still blinking...When i plugged the charger in the lights went off. When i try to turn it on the, the screen is blank...the processing and battery lights go on for like 3 seconds then they go off What do u think is wrong? should i just let it sit for a day? hard drive dead? battery dead...but that should still work b/c the charger is plugged in? help thanks

Call the help line that made the computer and see what they can do. Don't ask people here. That's just stupid.

Some laptops have a charging system that lets the charger pass-through the the machine and keep it going even if you battery is dead. This is so you dont over charge the bettery and lets you keep on working even with no battery in the machine. Others only work if there is enough charge in the battery as the current must first go through the battery then to the machine. When the battery is completely dead, the machine wont work. You must change the battery to be able to use your machine.

heya sometimes my battery just drains then the laptop wont switch on but i get the signal that the power is going to the laptop when i insert the power cable. I usually remove the harddrive and re-insert it and it seems to power up, could be a blockage or freeze who knows try it and see if it works can do no harm. well unless you dont know how to remove it. mines its just 2 screws for the cover then it pushes of. good luck,

Just remove the battery and try with AC charger only.

....wait for it.......wait for it....... You need to replace the battery. It can no longer sustain a charge. http://www.laptopbattery.net/
