Which processor is better for the price/package?
-
Staples this week has two HP laptops on sale. Both have 4gb RAM, which along with processor are my top two priorities. Both are 600 dollars after rebate. Laptop One has an AMD Turion™ X2 Ultra ZM-82 Dual-Core Mobile Processor, with a 500gb hard drive, and 3 hours battery life. Laptop Two has an Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T6500, with a 320gb hard drive, and a 5 hour battery life. So the question is (there's two technically:) which processor is better? And further, regardless of which one is better, which laptop would you go with given the difference in hard drive size and battery life?

Answer:
I'd go for the intel Core2Duo. It's a better processor with better energy efficiency. On the other hand, I would never find a use for 500gb of hard drive space.
