How do I best clean my Lap Top without damaging it?

How do I completely clean my computer? I'm giving a year old lap top to a friend's son.?

    The simplist solution (if you have the disk for it) is to reload the operating system. If not (and assuming it's windows we're talking about): Log in as Administrator, download CCleaner. Go to My Computer > Manage. Delete any named accounts (you'll know which ones you made). Go to Control Panel. uninstall any programs you want to get rid of, Run CCleaner to delete any recent web addresses, caches, cookies, used files etc.

Reformat the hard drive. That means you wipe the harddrive, and then reinstall the operating system

Hey Josh, Take all of the info off of it, by getting a 4 gb flash drive, and taking all of the info off. Now transfer it onto a new computer, or cut up the flash drive. If your friend is reliable, and has a good kid, then don't worry about it! Hope this helped:0) And I really want those 10 points!!!
