My computer crashes every time I try to play Left 4 Dead 2 on my laptop. Need help from a gaming expert.?
-
This has been happening since mid-June of this year. Everything with the game is fine, but every time I try to play a campaign, my computer won't load the campaign, the music and sound starts to skip, and the mouse controls freeze. I have a Dell Studio laptop from 2009. Is there something that was downloaded that isn't compatible with my computer or something else? And if so, what should I do to fix the problem?

Answer:
Laptops are not exactly built for games, so make sure to check your laptop specifications: CPU, Ram, Video Memory and see if it meets the minimum requirements for L4D2. MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: • Operation System: Windows 7 / Vista / XP • CPU: Pentium 4 3.0GHz • RAM: Windows XP - 1 GB RAM / Windows Vista - 2GB • Graphics Card: ATI x800/nVidia 6600 or better; DirectX 9 compatible card w/ 128MB memory; Shader model 2.0 • Hard Drive Space: 7.5 GB of free space • Sound Device: DirectX 9c compatible sound card RECOMMENDED SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: • Operation System: Windows 7 / Vista / XP • CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.6 GHz or better • RAM: Windows XP - 1 GB RAM / Windows Vista - 2GB • Graphics Card: ATI X1600/nVidia 7600 or better; DirectX 9 compatible card w/ Shader model 3.0 • Hard Drive Space: 7.5 GB of free space • Sound Device: DirectX 9c compatible sound card Remember....I always go for the recommended system requirements since the minimum requirement doesn't always work, and the recommended requirements always work as if it is a minimum requirement. Also try and lower every quality of the game so that your laptop can run it better....lower the resolution of the game to the lowest and everything else...turn of effects, etc.... Otherwise get a System Unit with a decent video card... good luck
