Cam on msn not working?

Inbuilt camera stopped working suddenly on dell inspiron 1440 laptop?

  • I was chatting to a friend on msn (cam to cam) and suddenly everything just froze, ctrl + alt delete didnt even comeup, so i was pissed and hit every dam key on the keyboard and restarted, i went on msn and it shows i have no cam connected, i opened the dell webcam software it says 'please plug in a supported device' i went and downloaded the driver when installing halfway it say, an error encountered during unistallation do you still want to proceed to install, i clicked yeh whatever and restarted , my cam still doesnt show up on msn! i done a system restore and it still my inbuilt cam isnt working!! i tryd to reinstall the driver once again and it says the same s h i t for ******** ***** sake! what do i do now? Thanks..

    try to uninstall and restart and then install if that doesn't work contact Dell
