Which is better for college Mac or Pc?

Like the previous posters mentioned, PC's are just as capable of editing movies as Macs are. You just need the right program. iMovie is no more special than Windows movie maker, and both can make movies just fine. To get top-end effects you would need to buy an editing program for the PC as well as the Mac. Viruses are less prevalent on Macs, but that does not mean they are not there. Your decision should be based upon what computers the college uses. Ask your adviser, as they will know better than us what computers will work well for your program. If cost is a factor, PC is the way to go.

Umm... there's no reason you couldn't make movies on a PC. Dreamworks uses PCs for their movies. Since cost is a factor, I'd recommend a PC. You'll get a lot more computer for your money and a PC can do all the tasks a Mac can do (and then some).

Since cost is a factor, go for a PC. Macs are a bit overpriced and you're essentially buying it for the name. I'm pretty sure there's a movie making software on a Dell...isn't it called Windows Movie Maker?
