How do I fix the graphics on my laptop?

How can I fix the graphics card on my laptop?

  • I had GameMaker on my laptop before I upgraded from Vista Basic 32 bit to Windows7 Ultimate 32 bit. But, now, when I reinstalled the same version of the program, it won't let me test my game. It claims that the graphics card is outdated, doesn't meet the requirements, or has little memory and the computer should be switched to a lower resolution. (Error:-2005530518) Switching to a lower resolution does nothing, and neither the graphic card drivers nor the program have been changed for me to need to update. How can I fix this? It's difficult, inconvinient, imposing and slow to have to borrow others' laptops to play it.

  • Answer:

right click on the shortcut and go to properties, then choose to run it in compatibility mode, as Windows Vista. If that doesn't help, then you might need to install VMWare SERVER and install Vista into that, then run the program in virtual computing.
