How do I record music with a synthesizer?

What laptop do you think i should get to record my own music?

  • I really want to start recording my own music. Acoustic music all the way to heavy metal music. Metal music like the bands Bullet For My Valentine and August Burns Red and Asking Alexandria. Just to give you an idea if it helps any. Well, i really do need help on a what kind of laptop i would need. I don't want a desktop computer. I already have a microphone, an electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and bass guitar. I also need to know about this " sound card" i have read about. Do i have to open up a laptop and put the soundcard in? like install it? or is it just like any regular usb and just hook it up? What brand of laptop would you recommend? what brand of soundcard would you recommend? what brand of microphone would you recommend? what brand of speakers would you recommend? im not going to record vocals for the heavy metal style songs im going to record, because im only going to record heavy metal instrumentals first. but i am going to record vocals for acoustic music. i have pedals ( boss metal zone, boss overdrive pedal, and boss harmonizer pedals) and is there something i need to buy to be able to connect those to my computer so i can record? what recording program should i use? and what should the laptop have in it to hold so much of these things. like dual processor, how many gigs, windows 7 or whatever, and ram. any help would be great.

    The HP Envy 14 Beats is awesomeeee. I had it for a year already and the sound system is great, it is very loud and has real clear audio.

well Anthany is right i would Go with a Dell xps but i would go with the 17' screen , yes it is more but you pay for what you get , and it verys on if you like a big screen or a small one yes the xps 15 is cheaper but thats cause you get a smaller screen . But ya go with a Dell xps ether one they sound to be good :)

Dell XPS 15. It comes with built in JBL speakers. If you don't know what JBL is look it up there better than Beats. Trust me i have Beats for my Iphone and my laptop has a better quality
