Laptop keeps shutting itself down?
-
Hey guys i have a compaq c300 laptop that keeps shutting itself down when plugged into AC. I have reinstalled the xp operating system but that didnt working, the battery doesnt last more than 10 minutes when not plugged in. could it be that the battery cant hold enough charge and it just looses power...i am able to restart the laptop straight after, i am pretty sure its not overheating because the fan sounds normal and it does not feel hot.

Answer:
could be that your AC connector on the laptop the problem. It could be loose, which is a major fire hazard... as for the battery thing, nope...a battery with AC plugged in will not cause this to happen...the fact that your battery only lasts 10min, that's another story hope this helps =)
