What is turbo mode and what does GHz mean?

An Alienware laptop is posted on ebay at 3.50 GHz, however it says "Turbo Mode" what does that mean? Quad 3.50 GHz Turbo Mode / 2.40 GHz non turbo mode
-
Answer:
GHz is a measure of the processing power that a computer has. If this machine has a quad core processor at 3.5GHz, then it's maximum processing power is 14GHz, thats pretty awesome! As for the turbo, I assume you mean TurboBoost technology from Intel, this means that in order to make the processor more efficient, it runs at 2.4GHz, then steps the speed up to 3.5GHz when it requires more power.
