Sony Vaio VGN problem.

Sony VAIO laptop problem........plz help!!!!?

  • I have a sony VAIO VGN-TZ26GN I installed windows vista buisness on it. It was fine for one day butthen the computer crashed and it wouldnt startup.After that I tried to install windows xp but that didnt work as well.even when windows vista works fine , not all the original drivers work and some of the ones downloaded from sony.com also dont work well.plz give me a solution for this problem!!!!!!

Reinstall original OS using factory DVD, or hidden partition on the HDD.

try install windows vista home premium

if you still have the original restore disc, use that. it should restore the laptop to the way it left the factory. if that doesn't work, or you can't locate the disc - you need to reformat the hard drive and do a clean install of xp (or vista if you want). you will need to locate the correct drivers for your motherboard and make sure they all install correctly. sony's website will list the spec of your laptop based on its serial number - start there. don't install any other software until you have all the drivers properly installed. if you can't get the install to work, or you get stuck with the driver install - seek help ! don't just install stuff at random hoping to get lucky.
