Webcam not detected on my laptop?

I recently received a friend's old webcam. I did not receive any software CDs, so i went to http://pcgearheadsupport.com/php/dow...php?item_id=22 to install the driver. However my webcam is still not detected, though the LED light that indicates that the webcam is working is on. I ran the software and everything, but I cant find the webcam in the programs or on my computer, and it is not detected when i try to use it. What can i to get it to work? Thanks in advance. I have windows XP.

Answer:
You have to let it dry. The more u try to use it the more you be able to. Shut down your computer for a little bit until it dries. One drop of moisture can mess up your entire laptop because it moves around. Be more careful.
