I'm in need of a new laptop screen and am wondering if it would work out fine if I just got this screen.?

I have a gateway M153xl laptop. The screen is half broken and I need a new one the screen is a 15.4 WXGA Ultrabright TFT actie Matrix (1280X800 Max. it really depends on where you are going to get it repaired .For the price you pay to get it fixed, it might be cheaper to just buy a new one. They have them on sale right now for about 400 dollars. How much will it cost you to get it repaired?
