Is Youtube audio lagging behind the video?

My HP laptop used to play video fine, but now it's lagging ALL THE TIME. Help!!!!!?

  • Okay so I got an HP laptop like maybe in March (4 months ago) and it used to work smoothly, run smoothly, and play video on Youtube, iTunes, and from other websites fine. Maybe 2 or 3 weeks ago though, my computer started lagging, freezing up and anything else you can name. Whenever I play video from iTunes, or any website, the video skips, lags, anything. You name it. Only Youtube has been working without problems. I have no idea how to fix this I have tried closing all other applications, restarting my laptop, and even waited for the entire video to load before trying to play it. This really bothers me because I use my laptop all the time and watch alot of video on my laptop, especially iTunes (movies & tv shoes), and I really need help with this. I am open to trying anything at this point. HELP!!!! Thank you. ps. i doubt this is a virus because I am protected and I dont do anything to obtain a virus.

    I would reformat my computer (restore for factory settings). If you don't know how, go to the HP website and ask them. They have a live chat program. They may give you directions or send you disks that restore your computer.

either restore to factory settings or try and search the computer for spyware/ adware as they tend to screw up computers like this. try adaware. not a bad little programme.

you can try to reinstall itunes and also try to do system restore. some times it may fixed
