Why Does My Laptop Keep Turning off?

The BIOS setting that allow the automatic turned off the laptop triggered. Common cause : - Processor overheating, maybe the heatsink is error or failure. - System windows corrupted, possibly by a virus or registry error. - GPU overheating, maybe the heatsink is error or failure. - Temperature sensor error, causing automatic power off. Solution : - Check the processor fan by hearing it, or sensing it. If it is work or not. - Check the BIOS, and observe the Laptop temperature. Check it by pressing DEL or F9 during post. - Check the temperature when the laptop is cold. (Turn it on after cooling it off for a few hours)

laptops differ from standard pc's as you will some times run them from battery . look under power options (battery setting) in control panel also for example i have an acer that comes with its own acer power management options . if ether windows or the acer is set to shut down after the computer is idol for a time it will. . If you have a dell laptop then it will have a dell power management and windows its the same for most laptops . Hope this is a cure for your problem.

okk the reason is over heating,, the best way is open the back of your laptop where the fan is located ,,, take out the fan screws and clean the dust,,,,, i got cotton dust lol :d,,, u might also get the same ,,,, sometime dust sticks and dont come out with poking,,, there will be 2 wires attached to the fan ,,, just dont break them ,, slowly and gently take the fan out clean the dust ,,, throw away all the dirt and laptop will be good to go

Either overheating due to blocked vents/dust, or if its running on batteries then maybe its going to sleep/hibernating. Check your power adapter is plugged in and working and check your battery is holding its charge any warnings or error messages when it turns off?

check battery if ya use a lot wont last that long 12/18mths
