Will Sims 3 run on my netbook?

Will this laptop run the sims 3?

  • I got it to work on my netbook (which was 1.6ghz) but needless to say, I had to reduce the sound quality, graphcis quality etc to Sims 1 standard. I need a new laptop anyway.. because I kinda broke the ol' netbook... My brother recommends this one, I'm wondering if this will run sims 3? (And I mean at sims 3 quality..) Compaq Presario CQ56-111sa Specs include 3gb ram, 320gb hard drive, Intel Pentium T4500 2.3GHz, and also it is Windows 7.. I don't know if this makes a difference, but Windows Vista has different requirements to XP I think...

    Windows 7 64 bit, expandable up to 8gb of ram,wireless, the graphic card intel media accelerator 4500m one of the cards that qualify for running sims 3 , kind of not good for gaming at medium setting yes, at high settings a maybe just make sure the intel graphic card has the latest update i would recommend a laptop with a ati 3000 or 4000 series or a nvidia 200 or 300 series for running sims 3 with good graphics, enerything else is good.

Yes the laptop will run this game quite splendidly because it has a sufficient amount of RAM to provide excellent speed during gaming sessions, the processor is adequate and you should be satisfied with the performance because this computer is for bargain. The graphics card is lousy for demanding games and since you mentioned the Sims 3 then it should get you decent graphic performance. This computer is capable of handling this low-demanding game, if you wanted to stream high-end games then unfortunately that would be a lamentable decision due to a weaker graphics card.
