Laptop problems, please help!?!?!?!?

  • i have a laptop that isnt working at the moment.. when i turn the on button on i can hear the computer starting up and the fan working but NOTHING comes up on the screen, the screen just stays blank. what could be wrong with my laptop?

    If you can borrow a USB screen, you might be able to see if it works, in which case you will have narrowed the problem down a bit. (The screen or the connections to it.) It is really hard to analyze this type of problem because neither can you see the screen nor can you swap out parts. Good luck!

it could be a number of things. You really should call your manufacturer and see if they can help you. It doesn't sound too serious as the computer's starting up. So maybe it's something to do w/ the monitor. I wouldn't do anything as you could make it worse and just make that call b/c I know it's pain calling but they really know their stuff and most of the time I have my problem fixed fairly quickly. If you do call make sure you have time b/c sometimes it takes a while.

Please let us know what happens when booting computer with a recovery/ boot disk. Also make sure your laptop battery is completely charged/ AC adapter is working fine...
