http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm this app will allow you to make "ISO" files from your DVD's an "iso" is a digital version of a CD, (not the files, the entire disk) then, to play the files, you need a disk-image mounting app, Magic disk is excellent. And free. Here's a direct download http://www.magicdisc.net/setup_magicdisc.exe all this app is is software that pretends to be a disk drive (what you actually put your CD's into to play them) You must set the number of drives, once you set a drive, it should show up with a letter name in my computer, just like you CD/DVD rom drive does. After that, just mount the ".iso" image you created. After that, the files will be available for viewing in my computer, and you should be able to play the DVD as if it were in a physical drive. Note: I imagine making the .iso image may take some time, but it'll be waaaay easier than extracting select files and converting them.
