What kind of external hard drive should I buy?

WHat kind of hard drive should i buy for Windows 7?

  • My hard drive is failing and i need to buy another Im using a Toshiba Satellite A305 i think it has a 300GB hard drive...should i get one the same size or a little bit smaller....what would be a good idea to do.I wanna spend about 70 bucks and get like maybe a Samsung...also i have Windows 7

It is possible that your laptop will take a larger drive but check with the Toshiba website for details as it may already be fitted with the largest capacity the motherboard will support. The capacity of your present drive is perfectly adequate for Windows 7.
