Why can't I change my screen resolution?

CANT CHANGE MY LAPTOP SCREEN RESOLUTION?

  • Hello, I have Acer laptop and recently I noticed the display seetings changed automatically to low resolution. So I went to control panel and to display properties and set everything to max but still the resolution does not change.. Here is the information under display properties: • Display= 1) plug/play monitor on mobile intel R 915 GM/GMS,910 GML Express chip screen resolution: 1200 X 800 pixels colour- highest 32 bit - does not allow me to check the box next to use device as primary monitor and exrend my windows desktop onto this monior 2) (default monitor) on mobile intel R 915 GM/GMS,910 GML Express chip screen resolution 2048 X 1536 pixels color- highest - does not allow me to select use device as primary monitor. So how can I fix this problem, because the resolution still remains low despite changing settings to max. Please help. How can I fix this problem?
