Whats a better a IPad or a MSI laptop?

My dad decided that because my old laptop broke that he would get me a IPad. I really like it but I miss my laptop. My parents are divorced. My mom said that she would either get my a new laptop or pay my dad for half of the IPad. I really like the IPad but I will miss a laptop because of itunes and being able to skype with my friends. What is better? Thanks!

the laptop has a camera and a bigger hard drive... the ipad does not have a camera or a big hard drive... i would wait for the ipad2 if not i would get a laptop

The iPad has its uses but it's really like buying a screen without all the other bits a laptop comes with.

LAPTOP - Hands down... Besides, with half the money a iPad costs, you can get a whole new laptop anyway. Go for both!

The Ipad is not a computer and can not be compared to a laptop. For instance, the ipad does not have any USB ports, so you can't print with it. I have one, it is very limited on what you can do.
