How does a video camera work?

How do i work my video camera on my compaq 2710p notebook pc?

  • sorry that im asking this again but i got no answers last time. i cant find the video camera, there are no icons to open it and there in nothing when i go to the start up box under all programs. ive had this computer for a while (shared computer in my house) and my other one isnt working at the moment which has a camera that i know how to use on it. i want to use the video camera (leave videos on facebook ect.) but no websites can "locate" it and i dont know how to open that. i dont know if that helps at all but i tryed :)

    HP usually loads basic software to access the camera and take pics and videos. A lot of times Windows will detect the device in Computer/My Computer as a camera or "Imaging Device" What exactly are you trying to use the camera for? Program like MSN Messenger and Skype will detect the camera and work right after they are installed with little to no configuration changes. [email protected]
