How to open webcam using JMF?

Problems using webcam w/HPdv6000 laptop w/Windows Vista OS?

I have a Logitech webcam. Whenever I try to view someone's webcam or show my webcam usng Yahoo IM or using features on various websites, I an unable to to show or view anything. I have a HP dv6000 notebook with Windows Vista as the operating system. It was preinstalled when I purchased the notebook in May 2007. I've contacted Yahoo support several times about this as well as the sites I have the problem on -- no luck getting this issue resolved. None of their suggestions have worked. I've even tried reinstalling the webcam software, rebooting my notebook, and restoring everything to factory settings -- to no avail.
