Computer audio won't work on ANY games? (Like Half-Life 2)?

My computer's audio won't work when I play games like half-life, but works on the internet when viewing videos on youtube...If any one has a solution please let me know ASAP!

Answer:
For start you should check if the sound is muted from the game.. For example when you enter Half Life > Options in the sound settings check if the volume is turned up.. Otherwise I haven't an idea what could the issue be..
