How do I get my microphone to work on my dell laptop?

How much would it cost to repair my laptop touchpad and power light? Dell inspiron 1545?

• Problem 1. My touch pad for dell inspirion 1545 is completey non functional. I reinstalled all the drivers for it, enabled and disabled the touchpad from the settings, restarted my computer with nothing plugged in 2 times, and even cleaned it with a cloth. Nothing works and when I enable it, I literally have to apply extreme pressure just to get a response from the touchpad. Currently I'm using a usb mouse but it's proving to be quite an inconvenience. I'm pretty sure I have to take this to technical support or a Dell store since it seems to be an internal issue of some kind. What I would like to know is how much would it cost to fix this issue or replace the touchpad in anyway. My laptop is not under warranty so hopefully It won't be too expensive. Where can I go in NY to fix my laptop? Problem 2. You guys know the power light? The one that indicates whether the laptop is on or off? It is located at the front of the laptop directly near the jacks for the earphone, microphone, and SD memory card slot. I've had this laptop for over a year now and when I first bought it the light turned on accordingly and even flashed red when the battery was low. After a few months the light just didn't turn on anymore when I rebooted my computer one day. I've gotten used to not having this light, but since my touchpad is not working anymore, I see this as an opportunity to fix both. The power indicator seems to need a light bulb change >.>. Can anyone tell me how much this would cost to fix at a Dell store? Or the total cost of everything? P.S.- I really need your help since I'm a college student and I need a laptop to do my work. Even if you provide an estimation of price, that would be muuuuuuuch appreciated =) double PS- I can't ask technical support via email or live chat because I'm in Morocco at the moment and this laptop was purchased in the UAE.   well if you are in Morocco, Casablanca you could take it to "Darb Ghalef" Market it's crowd of genius there, it will cost you about 600 MAD, but before that, check if the touch-pad is not disabled from the keyboard. by pressing "Fn" button and the "mouse icon" in the same time you can also check the lighting power by clicking on "Fn" button and the "F3"
