Burn photos on to a DVD?

I have an ACER Aspire 3000 laptop and would like to burn photos onto a dvd.?

  • I have been trying to burn photos onto DVD. It keeps telling me to insert a writable cd. I have inserted the DVD but it doesn't seem to recognise that it is there. I have found little information online and wondered if anyone else had a similar problem? I have owned the laptop for a number of years and wonder if I am even able to burn to DVD??? Could someone please confirm whether this is a function available with this particular model. Thank you.

    according to CNET specs tell me if this is your laptop http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/acer-aspire-3000/1707-3121_7-31532504.html according to thee specs your optical drive (cd drive) is a cd burner and a dvdROM only meaning it has the ability to burn to CDs but not DVDs suggestion: but a compatible optical drive and swapp them out very simple if they have one compatible for your laptop or just by an external dvd burner

I think you can try check your dvd burner drive, or change another better burning software to help you , you can try RZ DVD Creator ,now i am using it,works well ,it can burn photos to dvd ,such as burn jpg, jpeg, gif, bmp, png, etc. to DVD ,it also can convert \burn any video file to standard video dvd ,and can play well on regular video dvd ,maybe you can have a try ,you can yahoo or goole search and downloded RZ DVD Creator ,hope it could help you !

What burning program are you using?

Look on drive (your disk drive... the one you are putting the DVD into) and see if it says DVD, if it does, make sure you are using the right type of DVD (DVD-R would be my suggestion) If it doesn't, it probably can't burn DVDs.
