My laptops Mother board is dead! Help!!!??

I don't know of anyone who fixes the motherboard itself for an economical price not to justify buying a different motherboard completely. What I would do is try to find an ebay auction or similar that is selling a working one that's used... Or buy an original new replacement. Personally, I think I would trust an ebay used MB, over a repaired MB... Also, what model # is your Acer laptop?

try to call your product support(ACER tech support) and ask for the part number of your motherboard. It will be alot cheaper if you will purchase a motherboard and replace it by a good friend. This would save you a lot of cash. hope this could help

I have to be the bearer of the bad news.The same thing happened to me the mobo is discontiued probably right after they found out it was faulty. Nothing can be done. frigin rips. You need to find a second hand guy, the guy l found gets all kinds of laptops for cheap. You should know what your looking for, Just the basics. Acer is s**t from the word go. Look for an intel processor and about 40gb hdd with 512mb memory. I got a Dell desk top for 120.00 complete and it's 10 times better. ps Mine started again after taking out the battery, sitting on the switch for 20 sec. And then take the hard dr out ( it's real easy just a couple of skrews and disconnect it, don't bend the connectors) and put it in the freezer for 1/2 hour,take it out, put it back in, plug it in, leave the battery out, and turn it on. Don't worry it won't blow up. It acctually started but the usb ports still don't work. Mobo no good.
