Can anyone help me with Windows Automatic Updates?

Why is my laptop doing this??? Please help! Anyone!?

  • Okay, when I try to turn on my laptop. It turns on, but won't go to the home screen page. It goes straight to a blue page that says "A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen apperats again, follow there steps: Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardwar or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need. If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then select Safe Mode. Technical information: *** STOP: 0x0000C1F5 (0xC01A000A, 0x816C1000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)" I don't know what thats means. But I can't get past it to go to my home screen and I have a paper for college due tommorow. If anyone can help me so I can get past it and make my laptop work would be appericiated, 10 points to best answer! Thankyou!

On start up (before Windows loads) keep tapping either F5, F8 or F10 (be aware that some manufacturers use F8/F10 for system recovery) then use arrow keys to highlight 'Last known good configuration' hit Enter/Return, click on a user account, enter the password (if you don't know it, there probably isn't one so leave it blank) and hit return/enter. If that doesn't work, try again, but this time highlight 'Safe Mode' hit Enter/Return, click on a user account, enter the password (if you don't know it, there probably isn't one so leave it blank) and hit enter/return. A window will pop up asking if you want to carry on with safe mode or use system restore. Choose system restore, pick a date and time before the problem occured and confirm.

wow i'm really sorry that's tough...Do you download a lot of stuff and do you know if you had any viruses or anything? I really don't know what to say but maybe you might need to restore your whole computer back to factory settings? (which is really gonna suck I know but at least it'll be working once again) I used to get that stuff on my desktop but after waiting a few days it would just start out of no where so I wasn't too sure what the problem was?
