Unmountable boot volume problem?

My comp keeps showing me unmountable boot voulume. I have changed the bios settings to boot from cd, and it still wont boot from a cd. the cd is fine. the comp wont even work in safe mode , jus goes to the blue screen . please help

Hi, If the boot volume is unmountable then the hard drive has a problem, might be fixable if you can get the cd to work. What cd is that, is it a windows installation cd? What if anything happens when you attempt to boot from the cd? Arnak
