My computer turns on but nothing appears on the screen?

Computer turns on but nothing appears on screen help please?

  • what happend is that i took the cover off the computer to look for the video card and i was going to replace it but i dident touch anything i took one of the ram cards out to see what gig it was and put it back in properly put the case back on and tryed starting it at first it would shutoff in like 30 seconds so i took the cpu fan that covers the processor off and it was dirty and very hot so i blew all the dust out of it put it back in properly and now that its all back together i turn it on and nothing works the monater dont show anything the mouse dont work (can tell because of the red light on bottom) so can anyone help me with this problem much appreciated

Remove the ram sticks and wipe the copper parts with a soft cloth and re fit them. Before you do this you must make sure that you do not have any static build up on your body by removing any foot ware and touching an earth point for a few seconds (the computer case is ok while plugged in) If no joy. Remove the video card and re fit in the same way. Check any other cards that are inserted into the motherboard in the same way. If no joy test one ram module at a time and make sure none of the connectors on the motherboard have dislodged while you were cleaning etc. If you still get no joy then it is possible you have already damaged something with static, take it to a repair shop for them to test.

Sounds like something was not put back properly. I suspect the RAM card.

best be take it to expert, first description could been few things then after pulling ram sounds like its possible you shorted the pc out.
