Computer troubles?

I am having troubles with desktop computer.?

  • I was trying to turn on my computer and the HDD revved and died down every time I turned on my computer for 2 days strait in the morning and got it to turn on eventually and when I tried someone else's power cable I would get the same result, but today It happened again and it would not start it just did the same thing. Do I have to get a new computer or is there a way to fix it? Please answer fast.

    Sorry dude not enough info, that's why so few answers, any warning beeps or anything else? It could be lots of things no reason to assume its the motherboard at all. Re-post with more info

You have something wrong with the motherboard. If it is still under warranty then you can get the maker to send replacement parts if something is burned up on the board. Have someone check it out to see whether it is software related (operating system) cmos (the board input output system) or a component that is gone or is going out. If a component is burned out then you will have to get replacement parts. If it is not under warranty then you will have to buy new parts to replace what is not working. If the board is an older version, such as a Pentium III or Pentium 4 you will have to replace them with newer boards. You can get replacement boards, CPUs and RAM for less than $250.00. Instead of getting the new parts separately, you could also try to purchase what is known as a barebones system that has everything needed except for the drives. All you would need to do is transfer the drives from one PC to another.
