How to get music off of a hard drive from another computer?

  • my old computer stopped working, and would not even turn on. i recently got a new computer and a hard drive enclosure for the old drive. i plugged it in to the new computer and can view all the files but i cant locate the music that i had previously. it was all stored in itunes. i can click on the itunes application, but it just opens the itunes from the new computer. how would i be able to get the music from the old drive onto the new one? i need it desperately. mostly all of it was from CD's that i no longer have so it would not transfer as an itunes purchase.

Strange should just be visible in the folder's(look a bit deeper) and copy paste over, you could install i tunes from the current o/s but on the old hard drive, should well work then, just open the off your new hdd on the copy you installed to the old one

go to My Documents > Music > iTunes should all be there.
