What are the different uses of the computer?

What is the best way to buy or build a computer that's for all uses?

  • I had a computer built a number of years ago but it has been crashed a year now but I want to get a replacement. I'm not that computer Savvy and I don't know what I "need" to get the right computer for me. I do every thing from pictures, videos, gaming, o use the web! I have all the parts (Monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc) but not the brains. I'd love to build another just for my needs but everything is almost in another language. Processors, RAM, ROM, Hard Drive, GB, MB? I just don't know what all these things mean for my use.....Please someone with computer knowledge help me!

you just need to be aware of the main components so you need dual core processor - either AMD's Athlon 64x2 or Intels Core 2 duo a dedicated memory type of video card for your gaming at least a 250gb hard drive and 3gb of ram this is the general specs you need, now you just need to choose your pc inline with this - on another not its better and usually cheaper to just buy a pc rather than building one these days

Try a Intel core2quad processor, preferably the cheap 2.4ghz one 4 gigs of ddr2 ram at 800mhz 250gig or higher hard drive dvd drive a nvidia 9800gt(or higher) graphics card/ati equivelant
