Can I clean my convertible top with resolve?

Can a partition tool resolve this problem?

  • A friend was trying to fix his own computer by re-installing Windows. Apparently, a dialog came up saying that no partition existed that could take the installation. He had two partitions. Amazingly he formatted both of them trying to resolve the installation problem. Obviously the Windows Setup now cannot see any drive to install on. As he turns his computer on, he gets the BOOTMGR MISSING message and nothing else. Never used a partition tool myself because I have Windows 7. I am not sure if these tools can actually create partitions where none exist. Is there a fairly simple partition tool that can resolve this problem or does the computer have to be turned in for repair> Thanks for your help

    A partition tool can create, resize, delete, anf format partitions. If he properly formatted the partitions in the windows format (NTFS) the windows installer should see them as places to install windows. If the windows installer does not see any partition and if the BIOS of the computer does not see any hard drives the hard drives might be failing and not able to be used. He can use Seatools for DOS to check the health of the hard drives. It is a free utility. Good luck

The Installation program can partition and format the drive all by itself.

from the sounds of it (not sure) but have you pressed F2 to get into the bios or whatever key your computer requires. once there change the boot sequence to boot from cd/dvd then make sure you have the o/s disk inserted in daid drive and follow the on screen prompts. try this link below http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFDN5Iidws0&feature=related RobL
