My taskbar has disappeared?

My taskbar and icons on my desktop disappeared on my pc, what do i do?

  • When I first start the computer, the taskbar is there, then i get a box saying "internet explorer has stoppd working", I close it and they disappeared. I've tried almost everything to get them back and nothing works, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

To avoid all these crashing and unwanted problems, there is no other go but to upgrade your computer with Windows7 software. XP and Vista are/were not that reliable.

When your taskbar and icons disappear it suggests that the windows explorer process has ended. If it happens on startup then its possible you have a virus. If possible try a system restore before they disappear go to Start > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore and set the restore point to before this started happening. If you don't have time to do that before they disappear, start your computer in safe mode and try again. If all else fails take it to a computer shop, they should be able to find the source of the problem and fix it for you.

restart ur system and boot safemode and go add or remove programs-add or remove windows components and uncheck the internet explorare and close that window.again go same process and put tick mark to internet explorare this time wants windows xp cd and finish that setup and restart ur system and boot normally otherwice download or install any browser like google chrome,mozila,opera
