How to record sound in iOS?

I can't record sound on my computer...sorta...?

  • Alright here goes... I have Fraps and I want to record sound but my computer's not wanting to cooperate. I have tried all the normal things such as go into the control panel and goto Audio and Sound devices and change it from microphone to Stereo Mix, Wave, or What U Hear. But I don't have any of those in my Recording control all I have is Line in, Rear Mic, and Microphone. And in my regular Volume control I have volume Control, Wave, SW Synth, CD Player, and Input Monitor. In fraps I was able to get a tiny teeny bit of sound to record but I have to put my headset at maximum volume and it's just barely any sound. And I have everything in my Recording Control and Volume Control set to max volume. In Fraps I have Record Sound enabled and "Use Windows input" checked and SigmaTel Audio as my Sound Device and Microphone as my Sound Input. Any ideas?

  • Answer:

Double click on the volume icon to go into the sound properties of your computer. click options, and then properties. Choose recording, and check everything that you want to show. Microphone should be in the list. Then make sure you select microphone from the recording list, so that it isn't on mute. Then in control panel under sound, choose the hardware tab, and make sure under recording, its using your current sound card. That shoould fix your problem.
