How do i get my computer in safe mode?

  • ive been trying to get my computer in safe mode but it just wont i tried turning the computer off then the main power off then waited 30 secs..then turned it on and nothing happened i donno if im doing it wrong but its not working for me can sum1 help me? i have a windows xp 2002 home edition, also can you tell me how to get it out of safe mode.

    start button-> run-> type "msconfig" (without quotes) -> the system configuration window should pop up -> click on "boot" tab -> enable "safeboot" or "Safe mode" Just do the same thing while in safe mode to get back to normal.

Click F8 before the XP logo screen to enter advanced boot options menu.... AKA safe boot option is one of the selections

Ok turn on computer but before you get to the windows icon with the ticker scrolling along. You need to either keep tapping F8 on the keyboard or F6 one of the two. Then you will be presented with some options. Select Safe Mode. To get out of safe mode just simply restart. A computer wont automatically boot into safe mode only unless you manual choose it to.

when turning computer on. hit the f 8 button until it takes you to a different screen. then it will give you the option to go into safe mode or safe mode with internet
